Scottish Cashmere Australia was formed in 2016 as an off shoot from my other business Gramon which had been broadening in diversity of products, many of which are custom made, and made splitting the business necessary in order to offer the finest quality Scottish cashmere online previously only available in person or via phone and email. As with Gramon, the catalyst for my businesses, is to make available all the things I love that are not readily available in Australia, then to pass them on to fellow devotees at realistic prices.

During my travels I've sampled cashmere from many companies and countries. You just cannot buy cashmere from anywhere else which matches the quality and longevity of that produced in Scotland. I haven't met a customer yet who has regretted their decision to invest in Scottish cashmere. The feedback I constantly receive is that it's worth the investment and the majority of my customers are returning to invest in more!

Newly Designed Ponchos

Scottish Cashmere Australia is now starting to dabble in my own designs starting with a poncho, made in collaboration with a factory in Scotland, from the best cashmere in the world. These have only been available for a couple of months and are proving to be extremely popular. I will be adding to my range over time so keep checking back and sign up to my subscriber list for updates of when new products become available as well as where you can find me at various events.

During my travels I came across the Biggest Blanket Company in London who produce limited runs of the finest quality Scottish cashmere, merino and lambswool blankets and throws as well as the odd other items including slippers and ponchos. When I'm in London I hand select my favourite items in stock and occasionally items not available online which I know my customers will love.

Fairs & Markets

I'll continue to be primarily popping up at selected private school events in Sydney and surrounds. These events will be able to be viewed on this website as well as through my subscriber newsletters.

I Love to Travel

I love to travel and am always on the lookout for a run of something beautiful of the finest quality cashmere to add to my collection for a limited time. Keep an eye out for the latest acquisitions through my subscriber emails. If you have suggestions of something you'd love me to find drop me a line and I'll see what I can do!!

If you are Sydney based or visiting you are welcome to make a private appointment to see the collection.

I hope you love my acquisitions and designs as much as I do.

All the best

Product Care

After using your new cashmere garment for the first few times you may find small balls of fibre forming on the surface. These small balls or 'pills' are caused by some of the loose fibre tangling together as areas of your garment are rubbed during wear. Pills can be easily removed by hand or by using a depilling knitwear comb.

You will find that, after lavishing a little care and attention on your cashmere and removing the pills in this way, the garment will actually consolidate and soften in handle and touch. Like fine wine, cashmere will improve with age if cared for properly.

We recommend that your  cashmere is gently washed after it has been used three or four times. Cashmere knitwear can be hand washed or dry cleaned. We recommend hand washing, following these simple guidelines:

  1. Your cashmere should be hand washed in lukewarm water (30℃) using a cashmere shampoo or a similar wool wash.
  2. Gently squeeze the suds through the fabric, taking care not to rub, wring or stretch the garment.
  3. Rinse thoroughly but carefully in clean lukewarm water. Saturated garments should not be lifted before excess water has been gently squeezed out as they may stretch. A short, light spin in a washing machine will remove most of the water.
  4. Smooth the garment back into its original shape and place flat on a towel - dry naturally away from direct heat such as radiators or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
  5. When dry, press lightly with a cool iron.

Storing your Cashmere Ponchos & Wraps

To keep your wraps & ponchos in optimum condition I highly recommend you store them after use in the packaging that you received them in.
